Through candid discussions, guests share their journeys, struggles, and triumphs, encouraging listeners to embrace their own vulnerability. Tune in to Eat Don’t Compete for a refreshing approach to personal and spiritual growth. Let me discuss how we can become the version of ourselves we were always meant to be.

“Today, I am not who you think I am; I am not who I think I am; I am who I think you think I am” Charles Horton Cooley
Welcome Back to another episode of Eat w/ Her Don’t Compete w/ Her Podcast Show & this is your host Jazz. In today’s episode, we will be discussing insecurities, specifically perception. Perception is the acceptance we think we need from the outside world or even the validation we are looking for from within. How much time are you investing in your persona, reputation, and the way others view you? If happiness is an inside job, why do we work so hard to get the attention of others? How much are you actually willing to pay to get noticed? How much of our permanent integrity are you willing to bargain for just 15 minutes of fame? We see this all too often in our society, so I thought this would be the perfect way to close out our Insecurity series. I believe it’s time that we address dysfunctional societal norms, like this one. 🤔

S4E6: Men Don’t Have Insecurities (Insecurities Part II)

“Insecurity is not a female trait. Insecurity is a human trait that does not discriminate.” Jazmine DeWees
Welcome to another episode of Eat w/ Her Don’t Compete w/ Her Podcast Show & I am your host Jazz. Today's episode is part II of my series on Insecurities. In a world filled with toxic masculinity, fueled by a generation that indicates you are either too feminine or too masculine, my question is… what is a man to do? No matter what kind of man you identify as, you’ve faced, will face or are currently facing insecurities. It’s inevitable. Is it hard for you to admit to yourself that you are insecure about something because you did not grow up using that language to express yourself? Are your insecurities driven by the feelings you never get to express? Do you define your manhood by financial securities, emotional ignorance, or even societal pressures?

S4E5: My Insecurities Vs. My Confidence (Insecurities Part I)

“Secure in your insecurities, knowing insecurities won’t ever leave.” Prentice Penny
Welcome Back to another episode of Eat w/ Her Don’t Compete w/ Her Podcast Show & this is your host Jazz.
In today’s episode, we will be discussing insecurities. Does you lack of confidence indicate that you are in some way inferior to your self-reliant companion? Do your insecurities cause you to act out in an unhealthy way? Does your focus on these insufficiencies help or hurt your ability to cope with anxiety, apprehensiveness, uncertainties, and feelings of self-doubt? Are you more insecure because you deal with your insecurities privately? Are they more secure because they cope with insecurities publicly? To be insecure is to not have the confidence or to be uncertain, beset by fear and anxiety. What are your insecurities and how do you deal with them? 🤔
